The Danish Ethical Rules for Promotion of Medicinal Products towards Healthcare Professionals (2011), the Danish Medicines Act,  the Danish Executive Order no. 1153 of 22 October 2014 on advertising of medicinal products and the Danish Executive Order no. 1244 of 12 December 2005 on the supply of medicinal product samples are based on the European Union Directive 2001/83/EC (as amended).

According to Section 66(1) of the Danish Medicines Act, advertising to the general public shall not be allowed of medicinal products that are available only on prescription.

Advertising to Healthcare Professionals of authorized prescription-only medicinal products is permitted.

The Danish executive order on advertising of medicinal products defines Healthcare Professionals as:doctors, dentists, veterinarians, pharmacists, nurses, veterinarian nurses, pharmaconomists, midwifes, medical laboratory technicians (bioanalytikere), clinical dietitians, radiographers, social and health care assistants as well as students within these professions.

To ensure that the 24th EADV Congress complies with local and national regulations, access to the prescription product Exhibition area, Satellite Symposia and Meet-the-Expert Sessions presenting development, research or other issues related to prescription medicine will be restricted to Healthcare Professionals and Industry participants only.

The full EADV Scientific Programme, Posters and Satellite Symposia as well as Meet-the-Expert Sessions organized by companies producing over-the-counter (OTC) products will be open to all participants.

Seating is regulated on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend you go to the session room well in advance of the session. Due to safety regulations, the organisers will close the access to the session if all seats are occupied. Delegates are not permitted to stand in the aisles of the session rooms.
