Hemp cuttings | You must know that!

cannabis oil, also called CBD oil, is extracted from cannabis plants. CBD has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties and is used to treat chronic Pain and diseases in addition to conventional therapies. It is contained in various parts of plants. Cloning your cannabis plant is relatively easy. You just need to know how it works. The following article will inform you about how to reproduce your hemp plants

Reproduction by plug rings

Cuttings offer themselves for the propagation straight. You get a clone by cutting off a shoot from the mother plant. It develops roots and continues to grow independently as an almost identical clone. Cloning with cuttings is also used by plant breeders for the cost-effective, fast and easy propagation of cannabis plants.

Advantages of cloning cannabis plants

With this method you should succeed with ease in propagating your favourite cannbi plant.
hemp plants you can also draw from seeds itself. But the advantages of cloning by cuttings will convince you. A major advantage is that the cuttings has the same sex, the same variety and the genetic characteristics of the parent plant.
Unlike propagation with seeds, cloning has neither a germination time nor a germination phase in which the seedlings are particularly sensitive. If you decide to propagate with cuttings, you will also benefit from a shorter rearing time and you can harvest faster.
However, cannabis plants cultivated by cloning with cuttings are generally more compact and smaller than plants cultivated from hemp seeds. Clones therefore yield lower yields than plants grown from seedlings. However, this small disadvantage is amortized by the omission of the germination time.
Cannabis cuttings are also available in some shops for a few Euros buy. The purchase offers the advantage that you can inform yourself in detail about the condition and quality in advance. The labels attached to the cuttings provide information about the specific variety.

Instructions for cutting cuttings

The prerequisite is that you have a plant available from which you can cut hemp cuttings. The mother plant is always a female hemp plant. It is kept permanently in the vegetative stage. This means that flowering is prevented so that the plant produces as many shoots as possible.
This form of reproduction requires some finger sitting, preparation and knowledge.
Cut off the shoot slightly below a pair of leaves. You must also make sure that the cut from top to bottom is fairly accurate at an angle of 60 degrees.
Scissors are not suitable for cutting cuttings. It squeezes the cut surface, so the clone can die quickly. Once you have cut off a shoot from the mother plant, you must place the clone in a prepared glass filled with water. This will prevent your future cannabis plant from sucking in air with its own plant hydraulic system and will cause the clone to root faster.

Optimum cutting size

The clones you cut from the mother plant should not be larger than 15 centimetres in height, as it must first form roots and cannot transport sufficient amounts of water to the height of a larger plant. If the leaves on the clone are too large, you can also shorten them a little so that the leaves do not evaporate too much water. However, you always have to weigh things up, because every intervention puts a strain on the clone.

Root formation of cannbis cuttings

Treatment with a so-called root hormone is not absolutely necessary in order for roots to form at the interface in the water glass. You probably know this from houseplants, from which you have cut off a shoot and placed it in a water glass for rooting. Provided the shoot is healthy and strong enough, roots will form.
Treatment with root hormone solution can strongly stimulate root formation in your clone. This increases the probability that the clone will survive the first critical phase and develop into a plant.
If you have decided to application of root hormones, you dip the stem from the interface about 2 cm high into the hormone solution. Alternatively, you can also brush the interface about 2 cm in height with a brush containing the hormone solution. Then put the clone immediately into a prepared growing pot and place it in a miniature greenhouse. You can also pull a plastic bag over the pot to achieve high humidity. The miniature greenhouse must be placed in a bright place, as the clone needs a lot of light.

With this method you should succeed with ease in propagating your favorite cannabis plant. If you prevent her from flowering, the mother plant will remain in a vegetative state for several years and you can always cut off clones from her and raise them to strong hemp plants.
